A bolt of lightning suddenly appeared above Barbatos, the Source of Darkness. Swift as a gale and fast as thunder, it struck the top of his head with a crack.
Barbatos let out a howl and sprang up, looking everywhere for whoever had struck him. When he looked up, he saw an Angel with several pairs of incomparably radiant wings appear in the darkness.
Consumed by rage, Uriel had completely forgotten the rule that Angels were not to interfere in the affairs of universes at will. He wanted nothing more than to strike this damned dragon dead with lightning. Fortunately, Michael noticed something was wrong in time and dragged him back, leaving Barbatos staring around in bewilderment.
An existence on Barbatos's level naturally knew of Heaven's existence. Of course, he also knew that an Angel had just rushed in and slapped him.
