Lucifer hadn't gone to the Bat Restaurant for dinner, because his bar was busy at dinnertime too. They had originally agreed that after Schiller finished dinner, he and Victor would go to Lucifer's bar for a small gathering. But Jason wanted to go night fishing, so Schiller's group changed their plans at the last minute, though they hadn't forgotten to notify Lucifer.

Lucifer felt somewhat disappointed when he received Schiller's call, but since he had to entertain the guests who were about to arrive, he hadn't planned on going over in the first place.

But he had seriously overestimated Gotham's customer traffic. It wasn't that Gotham had few tourists, but Lucifer's bar only served supernatural beings. And right now, the most supernatural things in all of Gotham were the giant seagulls overhead and the giant squid underfoot. Neither of those was likely to come to Lucifer's bar for a drink.

Lucifer called Maze to ask about the situation, only to get an eye roll in return. But Maze had a point. Would you have wanted to come to Gotham when you were Satan? If even you didn't want to come, who else would?

So after waiting around in the bar for a while with nothing to do, Lucifer finally couldn't take it anymore. He took a look and found that Schiller's group was stuck in traffic, and the yacht hadn't left yet. If he went over now, he should still make it.

So Lucifer descended like a god.

Then, the very next second, Schiller pounced on him and yanked out more feathers. This time, it wasn't one feather, but a whole handful.

Fortunately, unlike last time, these weren't real feathers, only some of Lucifer's energy. Even so, it gave Lucifer quite a fright, mainly because it dredged up childhood trauma.
