"Didn't you say you weren't going?" Hal looked at Schiller, who was changing clothes. "And even if you are going, why drag me along?"
Hal lowered his gaze to the formalwear in his hands. "I can't just interfere in Gotham's affairs. Bruce and I agreed on that. This ship may not have been arranged by Gothamites, but it is docked within Gotham's waters. If I use Green Lantern energy, Batman will definitely notice. All three Batmen, in fact."
Schiller adjusted his tie in the mirror. He glanced back at Hal and said, "Do you think Bruce really got sunburned? Mayor Roy thinks the legendary gambling ship docking here is good publicity, and gamblers are tourists too. Bruce has not objected, which obviously means he does not want to handle this, so he is pretending to be sick."
"But here's the problem: I didn't get an invitation. How am I supposed to board?" Hal asked, spreading his hands.
Schiller pointed at the table beside them. Hal walked over and saw a gold-embossed ticket lying quietly next to Schiller's invitation.
"Besides hosting gambling games, the Great West Continent is also a luxury casino cruise ship. Anyone with money can buy a ticket. Ordinary guests can only participate in the standard games on the first deck, but that does not matter. As long as we can get aboard."
Hal felt as though he had caught some hidden implication. He rubbed the edge of the ticket and said hesitantly, "I can use Green Lantern energy to cheat, but some games cannot be handled just by seeing the cards in advance. And my luck is only average."
"No need to worry." Schiller's tone remained steady. "It may not be as difficult as you imagine. Think of it as going out to have some fun."
