Bat Green Lantern watched with satisfaction as nearly all the green lights in the endless darkness went out, leaving only the point of light on his chest. He had long known that this move would be the nemesis of all Green Lanterns.
But at that moment, he suddenly saw a flicker of yellow light appear in the distant darkness.
More precisely, it looked like a pair of yellow vertical pupils, blinking in and out of sight. They were neither vicious nor cruel, instead carrying a childlike innocence and curiosity.
Green Lantern Batman instantly flew toward the yellow light.
"What's going on?" Aisha, who had already transformed into Parallax, ran with Barry and Harley as she asked in confusion, "Has this guy never seen a Yellow Lantern demon? Doesn't he know yellow is the nemesis of green?"
"I suspect he's never even left Earth." Harley clutched the spikes on Aisha's body tightly, her long hair streaming behind her. "Most Batmen share the same tragedy. He probably got the Green Lantern ring around that time."
"And if nothing unexpected happened, he probably spent the following decades immersed in fighting crime, with basically no time to spare a glance at the universe."
"Then the Corps never came looking for him?"
"Earth is pretty remote. Maybe one or two came at first and he killed them. You saw it just now—he can extinguish Lantern rings, so there'd be no evidence left. I guess only after enough people died did the Corps realize something was wrong, then send an army to investigate."
"Where are we leading him?" Barry asked again.
"Out of the city first." Harley patted Aisha's horn. "Even though Gotham City doesn't seem to have many living people left, we should still find an open area."
"Let me make this clear first." Aisha
