With a clatter, a heap of colorful gems was dumped onto the table. A robot blinked and looked at the doctor in the white coat across from it. "Sir, am I playing Infinity Ultron again? But wasn't he already...?"
"Yes, there is no Infinity Ultron in this universe anymore, so you are the only Infinity Ultron." Schiller gave his robotic butler a thumbs-up. "Listen, you know that Evil Stark, right? The one who was wandering around our universe before and recently went home."
"Oh, I know him. Jarvis told me to keep a closer eye on him because he has to take care of Miss Wanda. What happened to him?"
"He took my plan but doesn't intend to pay for it. Go collect the debt for me. Of course, debt collection is illegal, so you're merely an evil super robot who happened to pass through that universe."
Ultron covered his forehead with a finger in a very human gesture. "But I'm not..."
"Who says you aren't? What kind of decent robot could get hold of this?" Schiller said as he bent down. "It took me quite some effort to get it."
Then Ultron watched helplessly as Schiller placed a metal Gauntlet on the table. There were six neatly arranged slots on the back of it.
Three days earlier, at the Ring Sector Interstellar Security Office, Thanos opened the door to welcome Schiller in. "What wind blew the good Doctor my way? When Loki said you were coming, I thought I'd misheard him."
"What, I'm not welcome?" Schiller asked with a smile, surveying Thanos's office.
"How could that be? Please allow me to welcome you on behalf of Interstellar Security Headquarters. These doors will always be open to you, Doctor."
"I do have serious business this time." Schiller sat down on
