Today was a wonderful day for Stark.
Because Pepper had called him yesterday, which was obviously a good sign. They were one step closer to repairing their relationship.
This was clearly all thanks to his masterful planning. Pepper had finally believed that this time, he intended to make money through legal means.
Stark felt a little smug about his wise decision. So what if he had not come up with the plan himself? He had heard it, so naturally it was his.
Just as Stark sat in his chair with a coffee, opened his computer, and prepared to admire the rising stock charts again, his phone suddenly rang. The urgent ringtone gave him a bad feeling.
The moment he answered, Pepper's furious roar came from the other end. "Tony Stark, I thought you were finally willing to turn over a new leaf! You damned bastard! I swear, this is the last time I'll ever believe you! You have no more chances!!!!!"
After the call ended, Stark was completely bewildered. Pepper had been perfectly fine when she called just now. What had happened?
Just then, the company assistant rushed into the office and said anxiously to Stark, "This is bad, boss! Those bloggers bribed by our competitors are stirring things up again! They posted tons of before-and-after photos, claiming our company's potion really can increase muscle mass and intelligence!"
Stark was even more confused. "What? Who? Who bribed whom?"
The assistant rattled off a whole lot of information, most of which Stark did not understand. So he opened his computer himself, but he did not even need to search. The browser's homepage recommendation read: "Breaking News! Extremis Potion May Contain Human Modification Components! Large Numbers of Enhanced Humans Post Photos as Proof!"
Stark shot upright and began searching for Extremis Potion
