Batman was discussing Superman with Doomsday Batman, but it was soon time for Doomsday Batman's night shift. The two quickly parted ways. After Doomsday Batman left, Batman picked up the phone and said a few words.
"Are you sure they've found the exact location? Good, I understand. Then perhaps tonight is the night."
As usual, Doomsday Batman arrived a little early at the perimeter of the construction site near the beach. He generally hid in the corner of a room on the first floor of an unfinished building, so as not to frighten the workers.
Doomsday Batman had intended to rest here for a while so he would have enough energy for the work ahead. As usual, he half-closed his eyes. Though his body relaxed, his mind remained highly alert.
But gradually, his mind began to go blank. Drowsiness consumed his entire mental world, and his eyelids grew heavier and heavier.
In another unfinished building not far from this one, a bald man in a white coat and sunglasses was operating a machine.
"Look what I caught, my dear. There really is a mutant Batman here." The man narrowed his eyes and adjusted the device.
Then he took out the phone in his pocket, dialed the number at the top of his call log, and said, "There really is a monster, but this guy's too strong. I can't handle him... Fine, for the money. But I can hardly guarantee I'll take him alive."
"No, no, this isn't about the money. I know you need leverage to sue Mr. and Mrs. Wayne, but this thing is far beyond anything you imagined. It'll be good enough if I can deal with him. At most, I can take a photo for you."
Batman set down the listening device in his hand and looked
