Hearing Yellow Lantern Batman's words, Schiller frowned. He tapped the ground at his feet with the tip of his umbrella and said, "Tell me in detail."

After a brief pause, Yellow Lantern Batman began describing what had happened that day.

Green Lantern Batman—Dawn's Strange Light—had a comic backstory that, aside from the translated version of his oath being somewhat memorable, felt mostly like filler. There were basically no emotional entanglements involving the other members of the Dark Knight Legion. It was roughly the story of a brat slaughtering his way through his own universe.

But there was one glaring inconsistency in the whole story. Little Bruce's parents died, so the Green Lantern ring flew to him. Yet from the perspective of personal emotion, that logic made no sense, because the Green Lantern ring represented willpower.

The death of his parents had dealt Little Bruce a devastating blow. Judging by what he did after obtaining the Green Lantern ring, the emotions surging within him at the time had been incredibly intense. To some extent, he had completely lost control. How could that possibly count as unwavering willpower?

Of course, this was not to say there was anything wrong with avenging his parents by killing criminals. But the ring's criteria were fixed. If Little Bruce's willpower had met the standard, he would not have had to wait until his parents died to summon a ring. If it had not, then where had this Green Lantern ring come from?

Essentially, in the instant his parents died, every other ring fit the situation better than the Green Lantern ring. The Red Lantern ring represented rage, the Violet Lantern ring represented love, and even orange, which represented Greed, or indigo, which represented compassion, suited Little Bruce's state better than the Green Lantern ring that supposedly
