Schiller and Poison Ivy stared each other down.
"Stop looking at me, Mr. Madman. I said I didn't have any. Even if Batman took my blood to test it right now, he wouldn't find a single toxic component. Otherwise, would I really just be standing here, doing nothing to stop that crazy little bastard from destroying this city?"
Schiller could tell Poison Ivy had not told him the whole truth. The neurotoxin might indeed be gone, but not because she had used it all up. She was clearly hiding something.
"What did Batman want with you?"
"What you came to me for was what he came to me for." Poison Ivy took a slight detour before saying, "All of Gotham City knows that Vines are my eyes. I know everything that happens wherever they appear. Batman came to me because he needed the information I had."
"And you gave it to him."
"Yes, because he's obviously the only one I can place my hopes on now."
"You're more helpless than you let on." Schiller looked around and said, "These Vines are just a bluff. You're extremely weak right now. Perhaps you think the situation is already dire enough that Batman and the Bat-family throwing everything they have into stopping Robin King is the best help they can give you. You don't think they have the time or ability to help you."
Schiller paused briefly, then continued his deduction. "But that isn't the main reason. You think they don't want to help you."
"Yeah." Poison Ivy followed his lead. "In their eyes, I'm a criminal. Why would they help me solve my problems?"
"No, that's not it." Schiller looked Poison Ivy over from head to toe. "When I first came in, I noticed you were very nervous. You kept looking outside
