Inside Oracle's clock tower base, Barbara watched one protective device indicator after another light up on the computer screen and smiled faintly. Eighty percent of the protective devices were now powered on. If danger arose, these devices would come in handy.

The Robins were also returning one after another, but they had long since lost the competitive excitement they had when they left. Some were frowning deeply, while others seemed lost in thought.

Once everyone had returned, Barbara poured them hot tea and asked, "What happened?"

"We ran into that mysterious fog again," Jason said first. "This time, it displayed many different properties. Dick, you go first."

Clearly, they had already discussed it over the comm channel. Dick then explained the entire sequence of events as he had pieced it together.

Barbara reached roughly the same conclusion. The rules she had summarized regarding the fog were similar to those the Robins had found.

"What worries me most now is that if Batman has already returned to Gotham and runs into this fog again, then he might..."
