Batman and Batwoman were searching for Bruce. They knew the key to all of this probably still rested with the Batman of this universe.

Finding Bruce was not actually difficult. Although that policewoman refused to reveal more, considering Gordon's personality, the neighborhood where they lived could not have been too far from the precinct. And considering their financial situation, there were not many neighborhoods to choose from.

Batman and Batwoman had basically searched the entire area. Only two target neighborhoods remained, and they were heading toward one of them when the space around them suddenly changed.

More precisely, the entire dream changed. All at once, the surrounding space and time began shifting at high speed, making them feel as though they were at the center of a storm.

The shrubs turned green, then yellow, then green again. Leaves grew and withered, flowers bloomed and fell, storefront signs became old and decayed, and the pavement turned uneven and pitted.

Batman lowered his head and saw the hands of the watch on his wrist spinning rapidly, until only afterimages remained.

"Time is fast-forwarding!!!" Batwoman shouted.

In an instant, the storm stopped.

The familiar street still stood before them, but the scenery had changed drastically. Some of the original shops remained while others had moved away. Those that remained had become somewhat shabby. The freshly painted crosswalk on the ground had faded and cracked. The trees had grown considerably taller, and even the style of the posters on the walls had skipped ahead by an era.

When Batman looked at his watch again, he found that twenty years had passed on the date display.

"What happened?" Batwoman frowned as she looked around. "Time skipped. Who could control... oh, this is a dream."

They both understood. It was not that someone had truly controlled
