The moment Schiller stepped outside, he saw Joker standing beneath a streetlamp. He wore an utterly ordinary jacket and stood there somewhat crookedly, seemingly toying with a lighter in his hand.

A fine drizzle had begun to fall from the sky. Schiller opened his umbrella, walked over, and said, "You won't get what you want by pestering me. I wasn't the one who gave Batman from that universe the plan."

"So that's not what I'm here to settle." Joker kept flipping his lighter open and shut as he said, "Another me came looking for me. He said he wanted to form some kind of team. I think it's unbelievably boring, but I still want to know why he wants to do it."

"I'm afraid you wouldn't want to know the answer," Schiller said, adding silently, Not everyone wants to get shit on them.

"Then let's talk about that plan instead." Joker walked over with a grin. "The day after tomorrow, I'll plan another big bank heist to make up for the losses your damned plan caused me. How about the bank on the next street over?"

"I've actually been curious about something." Facing Joker, Schiller finally reverted to his overly sharp manner of speaking. "How exactly do you manage to gather so many idiot criminals so precisely in Gotham? Is this what they mean by birds of a feather flocking together?"

Joker laughed, apparently quite pleased by Schiller's joke. "Not only can I find this many idiot criminals, I can find plenty more. Stupid people are always full of themselves, but they're easier to control. I like them."

"You want them to get shot dead or kill each other, leaving blood all over the ground." Schiller sighed and shook his head. "As expected, I still can't accept your style. But
