"You're going to farm in Mexico?" Yinglong asked. "You really are a strange American. Not only can you speak Chinese, but you also like farming. As far as I know, people around here aren't very fond of working the land."
"More than that, I'm curious about something else. Why do you talk so much like a modern person?" Schiller asked.
"The Heavenly World has the Web," Yinglong said. "If the Xuanyuan Sword can surf the Web, why can't I? I'm a Modern Dragon."
"No, but why does the Heavenly World have the Web?" Schiller could not wrap his head around it.
"Because we work, obviously." Yinglong looked entirely matter-of-fact. "Who do you think deserves credit for all these years of favorable weather? Thunder God and Lightning Mother are just middlemen. They borrow all that rain from me!"
Schiller decided not to think about how they had connected the Web to the Heavenly World. "To be honest, I'm Sino-American mixed-blood, which is why my Chinese is so good."
"You can't fool me. I spent thousands of years with the Yellow Emperor. You don't have any Yan-Huang bloodline in you at all."
"Can't I have it spiritually? Stop dwelling on that. Have you forgotten that you're the Feathered Serpent God? We went through all that trouble to summon you, and you're not going to show us anything?"
"What do you want?" Yinglong said. "They may call me the God of Harvest, but I only handle the rain. Whether there's a harvest mostly depends on your own farming skills."
"Our skills definitely won't be a problem, but you need to guarantee favorable weather. It can't be too dry, and it can't rain too much either."
"I can do that, but I don't work for free. Didn't you mention some kind of deal before?
