Since they were cutting in halfway, they had to act fast. Howard and Maria hurried Stark to the orphanage, practically unable to wait to meet this genius boy.

Stark also wanted to see what Schiller had been like as a child, so instead of staying in the office with Howard to exchange pleasantries with the staff, he slipped out early. The moment he stepped outside, he ran into a little boy whose face looked somewhat familiar.

"Schiller!" Stark instinctively called his name. The other boy stopped, and when he turned around, Stark saw confusion on his face.

Stark figured young Schiller was wondering how he knew his name, so he explained, "I've known about you for a long time. That software system you made is impressive, but it's still lacking a little."

The confusion on the boy's face deepened.

Stark took two steps forward, folded his arms, and said, "My parents said they want to adopt you. Do you want to come meet them?"

Stark thought he had not struck an aggressive pose, and his words had been nothing more than ordinary small talk. Yet the little boy in front of him turned and ran, and he ran incredibly fast.

Stark immediately chased after him, only to find that young Schiller was astonishingly quick. In an instant, he vanished into the bushes.

Stark immediately realized he had messed up, but soon the orphanage staff came running out. When they discovered Schiller was gone, everyone started to panic.

"I didn't say anything to him. I just wanted to be friends with him. I don't know why he ran away," Stark said. "I really didn't say anything."
