"Oh, thank God, you finally came! We thought we'd be trapped here forever!" Parker walked toward the people at the door. They wore the same expressions of relief after surviving a disaster, and Parker spotted Balk at the back of the crowd.
"We never thought Hart would do something like this." Sophia, the female scientist, looked deeply worried. She patted Parker on the shoulder and said, "There may really be something wrong with him. Luckily, you're all right."
"Long time no see, Parker." Balk stepped forward and shook Parker's hand. He was clearly the leader of this group, and Parker smiled at him.
When the female agent emerged from the darkness, Balk was visibly startled. Natasha slipped through the crowd at just the right moment, came over to shake Balk's hand, and winked at him. "Hello. I've heard a lot about you."
"You've heard of me?" Balk asked, somewhat puzzled.
"I heard Parker say you're an excellent computer scientist. I happen not to be very good in that area, so I may need to ask for your help in the future." Natasha smiled.
When she turned away, Natasha gave Parker a meaningful look. It meant that this group was indeed suspicious, especially Balk. He had been far too nervous when he saw Natasha, and when Natasha said she had merely heard of him from Parker, his relief had been far too obvious.
Natasha found it rather boring. No matter how bold these people were or how elaborate their conspiracy might be, if their fundamentals were lacking, everything was pointless. It was nowhere near as thrilling as crossing swords with Schiller.
Then the female agent wailed inwardly again. It was all Schiller's fault that she had no entertainment to watch now!
Parker did not have that kind of eye for detail.
