Mysterio operated the drones and cautiously fired the first laser. Of course, he had no other choice. Otherwise, the space station would be blown apart, and they would all die together.
Though Mysterio had been audacious enough to weave such a grand conspiracy around the space station, he had never anticipated this situation. When it came to bomb disposal, he was a complete amateur. No amateur could face something like this without feeling nervous.
To make matters worse, Parker kept causing trouble, telling him to keep the laser straight one moment and bend it around the next. Mysterio did not dare ignore him. Controlling the drones was already exhausting enough; he had no energy left to monitor the bomb's condition himself.
Second by second, time passed. Sweat streamed beneath Mysterio's Helmet, falling from his brows to his lashes, then dripping down his beard until the collar of his armor's lining was soaked.
02:15. The laser cut off one corner. The floor could be lifted, proving that the plan could work.
01:59. The laser gently peeled back the floor along the right side.
01:01. The laser circled around to the left. More than half had been cut away, leaving only the final touches.
00:35. The floor was completely cut free. The drones gripped the bomb by its four corners, and it slowly rose into the air.
00:20. With a bang, the space station's glass shattered, and oxygen rapidly began to leak out. At the same moment, however, the bomb flew out through the window.
00:15. Mysterio had just breathed a sigh of relief when he suddenly felt something interfering with his control over the drones. The signal began cutting in and out, and the drone carrying the bomb, which had not flown very far yet, started swaying out of control.
