"I don't know. It wasn't explained." Schiller shook his head. "If I had to guess, he probably wanted to provoke a conflict between Sandman and Spider-Man."

"What does Spider-Man have to do with this?" Eddie was utterly baffled. "Does Spider-Man have some grudge against Robins?"

"No." Schiller shook his head. "My guess is that he did this because he wanted to expose the hypocritical masks of superheroes."

Eddie was even more confused. "He kidnapped a supervillain, had that supervillain go after a superhero, and then thought that would expose the superhero's hypocritical mask? What the hell is that supposed to mean?? The motive makes no sense at all!"

"Or maybe he just childishly wanted to teach some superhero a lesson, or simply disrupt a superhero team. Didn't Sandman run into the Avengers in Los Angeles?"

Eddie took a deep breath. "But he needs a motive, understand? Every character in a movie needs their own perspective, position, and motive. What kind of perspective does this Robins have toward the Avengers? From what position is he fighting them? And what motive does he have for going after them?"

"I don't know." Schiller shook his head, acting as though he knew nothing at all. In fact, he truly didn't know, because the great director behind the scenes had explained absolutely nothing.

"This won't work." Eddie said, "There's no main plot to this story, and the character design is a mess... No, wait."

Eddie suddenly realized something. "You said this happened in reality, right? But Peter told me William wasn't bad by nature. He just had a bad temper and an unstable mental state. If he didn't hate the Avengers, why would he want to wipe them all out?"

"That's exactly the problem." Schiller said. "Just assume someone has the ability to forcibly alter
