The two slowly approached the grand building. They had expected getting inside to take some effort. With walls and cannons, it clearly was not meant to let them in easily.

But unexpectedly, although there were cannons, no one operated them. The walls were high, but no one guarded them. Finding a gap was quite simple.

Schiller had a feeling there had originally been guards here. The walls were clearly designed with places for sentries to stand watch. If there had never been guards, they would not have been built this way. So where had the guards gone?

Schiller and Gordon found a side door to the castle. It was shut, but not tightly enough. Schiller could more or less slip One Hand through and feel the lock on the other side.

Though it resembled a medieval castle, the lock was modern in design. It looked rather bizarre, but it gave Schiller an opening, because he knew how to pick locks.

Finding tools was not difficult, either. Although they could not take anything out of the hotel, Schiller had brought his own briefcase. He had no professional lock-picking tools, but there was a ring of keys inside. He took apart the key ring, straightened it into a wire, and quickly picked the lock.

The two pushed open the side door. Inside, everything was quiet. The front yard still looked like Wayne Manor, but Schiller soon noticed something wrong in the bushes near the wall.

They carefully approached and discovered a man lying on the ground. He had been stabbed in the chest and was already dead.

Strangest of all, he wore something resembling medieval armor, though it was far from complete.

Schiller knew quite a bit about European medieval history. Many patterns on the armor were too blurred to make out,
