Constantine did not appear much in this series. Early on, Doctor Fate had killed Zatanna, and he had declared that he was done dealing with that mess. Constantine was not that bothered by it. He asked, "Then did the versions of me from other universes join this game too?"

"Yes. They should be gathered together studying magic circles right about now."

Constantine sighed. "You still don't understand me well enough. If Constantines gathered together, we might study men, women, Black people, white people, even sharks and lizards—but we would never study any damn magic circles."

"That's none of my concern." Schiller set down his cutlery. "You're actually quite interested, aren't you?"

At that moment, Constantine thought of another question. He looked at Schiller and said, "Do you know the Constantine from your universe?"

Schiller nodded.

Constantine also set down his cutlery and asked with some hesitation, "How is your relationship with him?"

"Actually, quite good." Schiller still sat ramrod straight, smiling as he said, "Our first meeting was not particularly pleasant. His curiosity took an inappropriate turn, but the misunderstanding was quickly resolved, and we reached an agreement."
