"Go find out what happened back then," Schiller told Constantine. "Go back in time and see what happened when Barbara was born."
Constantine did not ask any questions. He left for a while, then returned without any visual records. He merely said, "More or less what she said. A furtive nurse took one girl away and brought another one in. The Gordons never noticed anything unusual."
Schiller was not surprised in the slightest. If the other side dared to pull such a stunt, they would not leave a flaw in such an obvious place.
"Can you go back even earlier and see where that little girl came from?" Schiller asked.
Constantine said, "You have causality backward. You need to give me a time and a place before I can travel back to investigate. If you only give me a time, the landing point is random. Without clues, I can't find anything."
Schiller lightly tapped his fingers on the table as he began sorting through the connections.

Schiller was not just indulging in wild speculation. He knew people like this too
