"Thank you very much. I'll notify Laboratory 32 right away. They've been pressing for this for a long time. All right, goodbye."
Tim put down the phone. Before long, someone knocked on his office door. When he saw who it was, Tim froze for a moment.
"What's wrong?" A pair of hands waved in front of him. Tim shook his head and said, "Nothing. I thought all the researchers here were Peter Parkers."
"You must be new, right? Most of the researchers here really are Peter Parker, but I'm Gwen."
"You're Spider-Man too?"
"Of course. Miles was supposed to come, but he hadn't finished his homework and was in a hurry to leave, so I came to run the errand for him. Where are the new reagents?"
"Over there. Take them to the twenty-second floor. Give one box each to Laboratories 32, 33, and 36. If there are extras, don't carry them back. Just leave them in the warehouse on the twenty-second floor."
Spider-Gwen nodded, then turned back curiously and asked, "Why are you in charge of receiving the reagents? They normally wouldn't assign such an important job to a newcomer."
"Because I performed well, of course." Tim sounded rather smug. Seeing Gwen's skeptical look, he sighed and said, "I was originally helping out in Mr. Stark's laboratory, but he thought I was too noisy and kicked me out."
Spider-Gwen looked him up and down. "You got into Mr. Stark's laboratory? What university did you graduate from? Have you achieved anything particularly remarkable before this?"
"Neither." Tim shook his head and said firmly, "I got in through connections."
"Well, that's interesting. Who had enough clout to shove you straight into Mr. Stark's laboratory?"
"Doctor Schiller."
"Then that makes sense."
Spider-Gwen had just turned to leave when Tim received a call.
