Pamela's eyes widened as she stared at the youth before her with the most shocked expression of her life. But Tim did not hesitate in the slightest. Fixing his gaze on Pamela's eyes, he said, "I know you've done it before. You used Vines to restrain that professor. For certain special reasons, he didn't resist. When facing young ladies, he always tried his best to remain a gentleman."

"You said it yourself, those were special reasons!" Pamela practically screamed. "There's no way I can attack Schiller. It's impossible! And have you considered that he might settle the score afterward?!"

"You'd only be an accomplice."

Pamela took a deep breath. She tried to fill her blank mind with thoughts, sorting out the more useful objections. "Do you think he and that blind man were only discussing interns? Don't you think he was talking about us too?"

"Of course I know he was hinting at us, but don't you think he made a lot of sense?" Tim's eyes remained bright. He sat down again and looked up at the standing Pamela. The black-haired youth's smile could now only be described as dangerous and uninhibited.

"Have you ever experienced the feeling of falling?"

"No, and I don't want to!"

"Young people always have to take a fall sooner or later, but don't you think tripping over a pebble on level ground is both stupid and boring? Have you never wanted to leap from the roof of Wayne Enterprises Tower?"

"No!!!" Pamela grabbed at her hair, pacing around the room as she said, "I'm not going to go looking for death just because living every day is boring!"

"What if death is inevitable?"

"Then I still wouldn't go crazy just to make the process more exciting!" Pamela said. "That's what you think, isn't it?
