Schiller was writing lesson plans at the desk in his office.
The room was so bright that it made him a little uncomfortable, so he had the smart butler dim the lights. The moment they were lowered, the door opened. Oliver gently shut it behind him, then turned around and said in surprise, "So you were awake. Seeing how dark it was in here, I thought you were asleep."
"Can't you see? Then turn the lights up."
"No need. It's just, won't reading in such dim light hurt your eyes?"
"I have Serpent's Vision now. In simple terms, I have no vision at all." Schiller adjusted his glasses and said, "The pair Brand customized for me was too small, and I couldn't be bothered to go find him again."
"So you can't see anything now. How do you teach?"
"This kind of basic class doesn't necessarily require eyesight." Schiller sighed softly. "Still, I haven't assigned them much written homework, so I can minimize the time spent grading it."
"But that's not a solution, is it?" Oliver leaned closer with obvious concern. "Didn't they say there was some kind of flower that could ease the symptoms? Have you been taking it on schedule?"
"No. I'm trying to strengthen my connection with the witch. The best way is to let the curse keep recovering on its own."
"That is absolutely not a good idea." Oliver said, "You'd better list the benefits of being cursed for me, or I'm going to find the others right now."
Schiller smiled. "If I said I can smell emotions now, would you believe me?"
"Smell emotions?" Oliver asked doubtfully. "Do emotions have a scent?"
"I only just found out myself." Schiller tapped his pen against the desk. "Snakes have an extremely sensitive sense of smell. They practically
