Mortals could not ascend Mount Olympus. Even Zeus's several beloved sons, whom he had left behind in the human world, had struggled tremendously to return to Mount Olympus.
This newly formed group of youths could be said to have no one to turn to, but the situation in this universe was vastly different from that of other universes. The people the Wayne Family's adopted sons could call upon would shock anyone from any universe.
Tim had also joined the team, though he only provided remote technical support. The first person he contacted was Deathstroke.
After the Economic Crisis, assassins could no longer find work. One after another, they slashed their prices like desperate bargain-bin sales. Deathstroke had a son to support, so he took a plunge into the Mariana Trench—not for any other reason, just because he was cheap.
Tim paid Deathstroke for a job, but he was not asking Deathstroke to take them to Mount Olympus. He only needed Deathstroke to find a way into Amazon territory.
Though Themyscira was presented as an open tourist destination, the Amazons' defenses were actually extremely tight. The female warriors took turns patrolling, and getting close to the core was no easy task.
But now, the Young Avengers had to find a way to contact the Amazons. Diana had surely left behind some means of reaching Mount Olympus.
Deathstroke truly lived up to his reputation as the greatest Tactical master. He led the group through the Amazon rainforest and actually found a narrow path. They approached Themyscira and successfully cracked the high-tech system it used to conceal its location, allowing them to sneak in.
Deathstroke was an even better master of infiltration than Batman. Under his leadership, the group approached Queen Hippolyta's palace on Themyscira without incident.
Out of caution, they did not
