For many years, the nights at Wayne Manor had always been very quiet. There was only one master and his old butler here. After night fell over Gotham, the only lit lamp would soon go out, and the vast manor would be swallowed completely by darkness until dawn came again.

But on this night, the lights in Wayne Manor remained on. The sound of a ladder scraping against the bookshelves shattered the room's silence. Dick frowned and coughed hard twice, waving a hand in front of his nose in an attempt to brush away the dust.

He looked up at row after row of thick books on the shelves, his fingers gliding over their spines before suddenly stopping on a volume titled "Ten Mysterious Legends You Don't Know."

Dick reached out and pulled the book from a tightly packed row, then climbed down several rungs and tossed it below. Aisha leaped high into the air and caught it, then swung her short little legs as she placed the hefty volume, too large for her to hug, onto a pile of books beside her.

Dick quickly climbed back up the ladder and continued searching through the shelves. As he searched, he muttered to himself, "Rich people live even more extravagantly than I imagined..."

He looked around the reading room. This was Wayne Manor's library, located in the tower on the manor's westernmost side. The entire reading room occupied a whole floor of the tower, containing hundreds of bookshelves and countless books arranged in layer upon layer of outward-spreading circles.

The entire room retained a strong English character. The reddish-brown bookshelves were carved with naturalistic decorations, while at the center of the room stood a circular row of sofas and several desks arranged in a semicircle.
