Legion soon arrived at Professor X's office. He was also taken aback when he entered, but he clearly was not much of a talker either, so he asked nothing.
Professor X was quite frustrated. Why did no one care that he had suddenly become younger?
Still, he got down to business. "David, I remember you can absorb other people's consciousnesses and abilities, turning them into your own personalities, right?"
Legion was slightly startled, but he nodded. "Even if I don't absorb them, new personalities will emerge on their own. Three new ones have appeared recently, but none of them are particularly dangerous."
"See if you can absorb his personality." Professor X glanced at Apocalypse, whom Magneto had thrown onto the floor. Legion walked over, placed a hand on the back of Apocalypse's head, and closed his eyes to sense him for a while. Then he said, "No problem, but I need some time."
"About how long?"
"Roughly three hours."
"After you turn him into one of your personalities, will he retain his original memories?"
"That depends on whether you want him to." Legion said, "I can copy, cut, and delete."
"What about the personality itself?" Worried that Legion did not quite understand, Professor X added, "I mean, will he be more like you, or more like his former self?"
"No one can be like me." Legion said, "That's the biggest problem. Every personality remains itself, so I have no way to control them completely."
After pondering for a moment, Professor X said, "I can teach you a method that will allow you to re-nurture their personalities. It won't alter the personalities themselves, but it can make them loyal to you."
Legion frowned. He glanced at Magneto, the only outsider present, then returned his gaze to Professor X's face.
