If Main Universe Batman's superpower was controlling corpses, then he could have used Jeff's corpse as bait to draw Reed's attention and create an opening for himself to escape. Besides being a famous detective and master fighter, Batman was also an escape artist. With such a powerful ability assisting him, getting away from Reed would not have been difficult.
But Schiller and the others obviously could not do that. In this situation, no one would be willing to serve as bait. They clearly were not on the same side, and it would be hard to persuade anyone to contribute to the team.
Schiller turned his gaze to the two barrels of gasoline by the wall.
He said, "We don't actually need to defeat Reed completely. We just need to create enough space to lower people and materials down."
Bruce had clearly thought of the gasoline as well. He said, "Reed is still an herbaceous plant. We can burn a firebreak with gasoline."

"I need a flashlight," Schiller said, "and a handgun."
"You're planning to go down?" Greed frowned. "I don't agree... Don't look at me like that. Have you considered who can beat Hunter if something happens to him?"
Pale Rider looked at Owlman, but he was not completely confident either. Main Universe Batman, playing Hunter, looked like
