Bruce really wanted to howl internally. Of all times to smoke a cigar, he had to do it now?! He might as well have smoked Bruce like usual!
Bruce desperately wanted to figure out what was going on with this Agent, but he knew very little about this new Schiller.
That was the drawback of Behavior Analysis: first, you needed enough data on past behavior before you could analyze anything.
The key was that Bruce had compiled all the behavioral data from Agent Schiller since the game began, yet he still could not understand his motive. There was simply too little data.
Since the game began, the Agent had performed unremarkably. Bruce could tell that he was fairly capable in a fight, more flexible and adaptable than the other Schillers, practical in his approach, and skilled in Behavior Analysis.
But that information alone was nowhere near enough to explain what he was doing now.
Pale Rider said the Agent wanted intelligence, but once they regrouped, they would naturally be frank with the others. At the very least, they would explain how Batman and Greed had formed their alliance and what plan they had made. He would learn all that sooner or later, so there was no need to kill anyone.
Bruce did not think any Schiller could be stupid enough to miss the bigger picture. Main Universe Batman had made things that clear. Anyone with a brain should understand that they would be dealing with Joker together next.
Cooperation required sharing information. Wouldn't obtaining the intelligence only be a matter of time? Why did he have to kill someone?
Even the insane Pathological Schillers had reasons for killing. They did not pick random lucky victims, and they would not give up readily available benefits just to satisfy their psychological needs.
