In Kamar-Taj's main hall, Strange spoke to Wong with a grave expression. "Kamar-Taj doesn't have much time left."
Wong's expression darkened as he said, "I received word from the Sorcerer Supreme. The entire cosmos has been on edge lately; it seems many races have received this news. You're right. Protecting Earth is Kamar-Taj's inborn duty. We must begin preparing."
Before long, long tables descended throughout Kamar-Taj's hall. Archmages in robes and hoods took their seats one after another. The cushion at the center of the hall was reserved for the Sorcerer Supreme, but this time, Strange sat upon it, and no one objected.
Although this was Strange's first time convening all of Kamar-Taj for a meeting, his voice remained steady. "I believe everyone is already aware of the current situation. As a sanctuary independent of every power in the universe, Kamar-Taj has the Sorcerer Supreme coordinating matters beyond our borders, but we cannot neglect the duty of defending our territory."
A female mage in dark blue robes spoke first. "I learned from the ancient Protoss that war is imminent. Strange, Ancient One has gone into the cosmos to confirm this information. The fact that she left all of Kamar-Taj's backup arrangements to you proves how much she trusts you."
Another male mage with a somewhat low voice added, "That's right, Strange. Your talent and ability are obvious
