Schiller sat in the mayor's office, having sorted through the vast majority of the administrative documents from after Pale Rider took office—in less than three hours.
Bruce suspected Schiller was cultivating immortality, but he had no proof.
He had no idea how Schiller had instantly untangled those countless incomprehensible documents. By the time he came back to himself, Schiller had already picked up several of them and begun speaking.
"Have you contacted the former mayor?"
"Not yet," Bruce said. He had been watching Schiller work the whole time and had not even looked into the former mayor yet.
"I want him standing in front of me within half an hour. If that can't be arranged, tell him I already know about the G5 District Xinhe Building."
Bruce had no choice but to ask around among the former staff about the ex-mayor. In the end, Ms. Weiss gave him a lead, and Bruce made the call.
