Batman could never work with the Pale Rider without reservations. Aside from what Joker had done, Joker had never truly left. If something went wrong with the medication, the Pale Rider could turn back into that madman at any moment.

Rose tapped her fingers on the tabletop. Suddenly, her phone rang. She picked it up and answered, and her face quickly darkened.
