Strange flew down from the top of the bookshelf and said rather smugly, "Well? The design style isn't bad, right? I still can't quite get used to Eastern-style interiors, but their decorations are pretty good. The designer blended them together, and I'm very satisfied with the result."
Schiller looked around, intending to find something to throw at him.
Floating in midair, Strange darted aside and dodged a book Schiller hurled at him. He landed lightly and said, "Don't get me wrong, I didn't misappropriate the Magic Academy's funds. This was all thrown in by the Chinese construction team. All they wanted was fifty additional admission slots every year."
Schiller rolled his eyes vigorously and said, "That's corruption!"
"No, no, no. This is the standard American admissions process." Strange spread his hands. "If people with magical talent weren't so rare, and if those who came but failed to learn anything wouldn't make us look bad, I'd definitely open admissions through donations. You have no idea how rich they are!"
"How are the magical herbs growing? And the cultivated mushrooms?"
"They're all doing pretty well." Strange waved a hand, and a book flew over. He handed it to Schiller and said, "The lingzhi, saffron, snow lotus, and so on were all preordered the moment their seeds went into the ground. As for that special mushroom, its effects are pretty good, but the yield has never improved. The agricultural experts they sent are trying to fix that."
"Oh, right." Strange seemed to have just remembered. "There's an Air-rail line straight to Sichuan. Their construction team brought several Sichuan chefs, and I kept them after the project was finished. Want to try it?"
Schiller already loved spicy food, and just thinking about Sichuan cuisine made his mouth water. He casually tossed the book aside
