When Connors arrived at Stark Tower's laboratory the next day, he found Banner with two dark circles under his eyes and Stark wearing powered armor. The sight was so bizarre that Connors froze for a moment.
He set down the folder in his hand, dusted off his coat, and said, "Sorry I'm a day late. I just rushed over from the Los Angeles lab. The two graduate students I recently took on made a complete mess of the project, and I only just finished dealing with it."
"Actually, I was going to say that you didn't need to come, because the two of us—especially me—have nearly finished the work," Stark said, raising his voice.
"Really? But Nick told me you haven't even touched the biotechnology projects. Old Osborn just called too, saying you've already delayed one set of blueprints for two days..."
Banner slapped his forehead. "All right, that was probably my job. I nearly forgot."
Connors walked over and shook his hand. "I heard my colleagues at the Los Angeles lab mention you. He was probably your classmate at MIT... Oh, right, I also heard you've achieved quite a bit in cryogenic experiments. Then take a look at this..."
Connors took a document from his folder and handed it to Banner. Banner glanced at it, pushed up his glasses, narrowed his eyes, and asked, "What is this?"
"A brand-new cryogenic technology. It was originally intended for developing low-temperature weapons, but a few colleagues from the Los Angeles cryogenics lab and I looked into it and thought it could also be used for space bases."
"I know it's a cryogenic technology. I'm asking when human cryogenic technology advanced to this point. Dense Ice? Wasn't that only a theoretical technology?"
"You'll have to ask Schiller about that. Ask how his genius
