"Really?" Schiller played along. "I'm actually a little tired. A hot cup of coffee would be perfect."
"Potions work much better than coffee. Watch this." Wanda walked over to the materials cabinet, pulled open a drawer, selected several herbs, and crushed them in a mortar. She tossed some into the pot beside her, mixed the juice from the rest together, filtered it, and then poured it all into the pot.
Once it began bubbling, Wanda started casting. Magical light flew from her hands and fell into the pot, changing the potion's color. The fragrance of herbs drove away the unpleasant smell in the operating room, leaving both of them feeling refreshed.
Very soon, two cups of something that looked less like coffee and more like hot tea were brought over. Wanda clapped her hands together and said, "Give it a try. This is the best-selling potion in my shop. Every customer gets a cup."
Schiller picked up the cup and saw no tea leaves inside. The tea was a glossy blue. Though it did not look particularly appetizing, its fragrance was indeed rich, smelling somewhat like a blended medicinal tea.
Schiller took a small sip. It tasted sharply minty at first, and a cool sensation shot from the tip of his tongue straight to his brain, instantly waking Schiller from his drowsiness beside the fireplace. Then came the bitter taste of herbs, but it did not spread along the sides of his tongue or leave behind any sourness. The sweet aftertaste followed quickly.
Schiller's eyes lit up. "It's good."
"Right?" Wanda brewed herself a cup as well. "I made a few minor improvements to the recipe so the flavor wouldn't be so harsh. The customers have responded really well."
"I think you could study this in the real world too,"
