By evening, the three of them had successfully completed the day's tasks and gone back to their own work. Schiller was shaping molds beside the workbench, while Strange and Wanda first cleaned up the operating table, wiped the remaining bloodstains from the floor, then cleared out the portraits, taking away the filled flasks and replacing them with empty ones.
Wanda went to handle the herbs. As she stirred the pot, she said, "I think today's base could still be improved. What do you think about adding sorrel directly?"
"I think that would work." Strange nodded. "We could also add some salt, or some fragrant herbs to cut through the richness."
Wanda seemed to have gotten a new idea. She began flipping through the spellbook again, occasionally tossing herbs into the pot until the whole room was filled with the aroma of hotpot broth.
