Stark stared at the blast furnace in the Lounge, dumbfounded.

After two days of rest, he could barely walk again. The operating rooms had been busy lately, and quite a few patients were lingering in the wards, so Stark had moved to the Lounge to continue recuperating.

But he had not expected the Lounge to hit him with such a jaw-dropping sight right from the start. Good grief, Iron Man had not even started smelting iron yet—how had a psychologist gotten a blast furnace first?

"Can this thing really smelt metal?" Stark stared at the furnace, unable to make sense of it. "Theoretically, it could, but theoretically, the flame temperature definitely shouldn't be high enough..."

"Whether the flame is hot enough or not, wouldn't you find out by trying?" Schiller said from behind him.

Stark hesitated, but he could not squat down easily, so he sat on the nearby bed and used a long Iron Spike to poke around inside the furnace. When the bellows pumped, he saw flames that were nearly white.

"That's not right, is it? This thing's structure clearly shouldn't be able to raise the flame temperature that high. Is there something wrong with the fire?"

That greatly piqued Stark's interest. Even with one leg dragging, he insisted on coming over to investigate what exactly was going on with the furnace.

Schiller gave him some ore and let Stark study it on his own. In truth, he did not understand the workings of the fireplace very well either.
