Stark looked at Nick as if he were insane. Nick gave Natasha a look, and she left with Captain Marvel.
"That was Captain Marvel, right? She hasn't shown herself on Earth in a long time. Why did she suddenly come back?" Stark asked.
"I sent her to keep an eye on the Mutants around the Andromeda galaxy." Nick gestured for Coulson to make coffee. Stark sat down across from him.
"Magneto's Super Brainwave Controller has been completed," Nick said. "It's about the size of the Moon."
Stark paused as he took the coffee cup, then asked, "How wide is its coverage?"
"More than half the universe, including the political center, the Ring Sector, and the area around the Great Portal of the Shi'ar Empire, the economic center." Nick sat down as well, took a sip of hot coffee, and sighed. "Unfortunately, the moment it activates, it'll be detected. It can only be used as a final trump card."
"It's best saved for enemies from beyond the universe," Stark said.
"Charles thinks so too." Nick smiled.
"Have they activated it before?"
"Of course. In that instant, nearly every advanced civilization in the universe received the signal. Eighty percent of them practically pissed themselves."
Stark grinned as well. Nick continued, "Not only is its range enormous, its intensity has increased to an absurd degree. The Supreme Intelligence made several million backups of itself overnight, but Charles detected every single one."
"Let's hope no blind idiot runs into them," Stark said. Looking at Nick holding that orange cat, he still frowned. "Are you really going to let this thing settle on Earth?"
"Of course. But only a limited number. Ideally, they'll all be assigned to superheroes capable of restraining them."
"Don't tell me I'm one of them."
Nick nodded.
"No, impossible, Nick. Don't
