"Damn it, who was that?!"
Taking advantage of the momentary stun of the horned monster, Stark broke free. After cursing, he asked Jarvis, "Who is this guy?"
After waiting for quite a while, there was still no response from Jarvis. Stark raised his voice and shouted, "Jarvis... Jarvis!!"
"Sorry, sir. Billy is crying, and I have to go take care of the child." A burst of chaotic noise came from the other end of the earpiece before it fell completely silent.
Stark was dumbfounded. He shouted into the earpiece, "Is this why I created you? So you could abandon me at a critical moment?! Jarvis!!"
But no matter how he called, Jarvis did not respond. Stark could only switch the armor to manual mode and turn toward the source of the light.
A hooded figure in a silver-white cloak spun the staff in his hand. The crescent-shaped staff traced a graceful arc through the air, and silver moonlight draped over the entire battlefield like a thin veil.
"Wait, why did that outfit look familiar?" Stark began brainstorming, then slowly widened his eyes.
"It couldn't be what I thought it was, could it?!"
"Watch out!!!" Miles shouted from nearby. Stark had only just snapped back to his senses when, with a bang, the Minotaur sent him flying with a tackle.
Stark hit the ground hard, but the monster had no intention of letting him go. Its enormous hand grabbed out and clamped directly around Stark's neck.
Stark snorted coldly as the reactor in his chest flashed brightly.
Bzzzt—crackle!!! A brilliant laser shot from his chest. The Minotaur was too slow to dodge and was struck in one eye. It staggered back several steps, clutching its eye and letting out a scream.
Stark flipped upright, took off again, and looked down at
