Loki was a little dazed by how quickly Schiller had changed the subject. "What? What skull?"

"Laufey's skull. Do you know where it is?"

Loki opened and closed her mouth, then stared at Schiller speechlessly. "Is that really an appropriate question?"

"Don't tell me you still have feelings for him?"

"I mean, if Laufey hadn't died, Odin couldn't have adopted me. Laufey was already dead when he adopted me. How would I know where Laufey's skull is?"

"You never investigated afterward?"

"A skull isn't part of an inheritance. Why would I investigate it?"

Then Loki thought for a moment and said, "But since the All-Father defeated Laufey, he probably tossed the skull into some warehouse, right? Why are you asking?"

"You're sure it's in an Asgardian warehouse?"

After Schiller put it that way, Loki was no longer so certain. She took out her phone and sent several messages, apparently ordering her subordinates to check the warehouses.

Only a few minutes later, Loki frowned at the information on her screen, then looked at Schiller. "Do you know something?"

"It isn't in the warehouse, is it? Or rather, there's no record of it ever entering one. Odin never took the skull away back then. He let it end up on Earth, where Roxxon Corporation eventually presented it to the Dark Elves."

Loki had been about to say something, but she suddenly looked embarrassed and hesitated. "The All-Father might not have done it on purpose..."

"Of course not. Back then, you treated Midgard as nothing more than a garbage dump and penal colony."

"That was all in the past." Loki hurriedly changed the subject. "But the King of the Frost Giants' skull wouldn't have been easy to preserve either. You humans would probably freeze solid from the slightest touch."
