After Schiller gained the ability to use the skills of his other personality traits, Pride's abilities naturally improved as well. For instance, during the dinner, he had been able to swipe the Fear Toxin Jonathan always kept at his waist while Jonathan was not paying attention.
That was Agent's skill, though it was generally used to steal law enforcement officers' guns amid chaos. Law enforcement officers were certainly far more vigilant than Jonathan. If he could steal their guns, then a tiny bottle of Fear Toxin was hardly a challenge.
After obtaining the new Fear Toxin, Schiller put it in the safe in his office. On the one hand, it was not something that could be used simply by opening the cap; if mishandled, it might poison the user. On the other hand, Batman from another universe had surely encountered it before. Using it would inevitably make people think of Scarecrow, and that would not be good.
Just as Schiller had expected, Batman came to see him not long after he returned to his office.
Schiller sat down calmly. Although he still did not know exactly which universe this Batman came from, he judged that the other man was no weakling. While he was not on the level of Main Universe Batman or Arkham universe Batman, he should have been in the second tier. He would not be easy to fool.
"Is something the matter?" Schiller rose from his chair and walked over to the tea station. Batman sat in a chair in the reception area, watching as Schiller brought over the tea set and placed it on the table.
