The Andromeda United Civilization was a fledgling civilization that had arisen atop the ruins of an advanced ancient civilization. Because of its unique origins and history, it had become a Confederation Civilization of many races and peoples under a single supreme ruler.
This civilization's interstellar fleet was jointly composed of its four militarily strongest races: the Andromeda insectoids, skilled in Materials Science; the Totem Spirits, proficient in energy and magical energy; the High Elves, masters of structure and ecology; and the Seka Civilization, the strongest civilization in the entire Confederation Civilization.
Although these four races were collectively known as the four strongest races in the Confederation Civilization, the gap between them was enormous. The Speaker, Vice Speaker, and one-third of the councilors in the Confederation Civilization's High Council all came from the strongest civilization, the Seka Clan.
Yet the Seka Clan's population was actually very small. They lived on the floating island within the central Twin Star and Island system of the Confederation Civilization, while the other two planets were inhabited by the High Elves and Totem Spirits.
Originally, this had been an exceptionally prosperous star region. Spacecraft from several races came and went every day, while the floating island at the highest point of the Twin Star and Island system was known as the Great Nebula's Pearl. The Seka Clan had built it into a place of extraordinary beauty.
Because of its unique celestial structure, it had no atmosphere and neither revolved nor rotated. Yet it possessed a beautiful rainbow-light shield, and the energy core buried beneath the floating island was slightly exposed, radiating a gemlike luster.
Every member of the Confederation Civilization dreamed of visiting the Speaker's floating island. It could be called the most livable place in the entire Andromeda United Civilization.
