Standing at the entrance to the police station, Schiller looked at Harley and asked, "The police officer's body was found on Diamond Street?"

Harley nodded. "That's right, but that wasn't the primary crime scene. They killed someone in the neighborhood near the old campus—I mean, someone else—and that officer discovered them, so they made their move."

"Although the old campus isn't as far from Diamond Street as the new campus is, there's still quite a distance between them. Why would they dump the body there?"

It seemed as though Schiller was asking Harley, but that was not actually his question. He knew the officer's body had likely been moved there by Harley, specifically to tie the incident to the people on Diamond Street.

"Diamond Street isn't innocent either," Harley said. "Lena told me they've been funding the Brainiac Support Group all along, helping them organize clubs and incite students. They've covered their tracks well enough that, without a fuse to light, it would be hard to burn them."

"I see." Schiller narrowed his eyes slightly.

The emergence of the Brainiac Support Group had indeed been strange. Popular culture spread faster and wider among young groups like college students, but spotting business opportunities and seizing the market was not something these inexperienced students were good at.

For an organization like the Brainiac Support Group, something akin to a cult or pyramid scheme, to be assembled so quickly, the people on Diamond Street naturally must have played a role in egging them on.
