Wakanda, a lone jewel standing upon the African continent, was a beautiful city amid this land that had not yet shed its wildness and savagery. It proclaimed humanity's determination to reshape nature and build a home for itself.

Wakanda's geographical conditions were not favorable. Like every tropical nation, Wakanda, located in northeastern Africa, was hot and dry all year round. Its territory was extremely small; even among Africa's fragmented map, it counted as one of the smallest of small nations.

Its natural environment was poor, and its cultural environment was even worse. Several East African countries might have been relatively promising by African standards, but overall, they were still not much to speak of. Wakanda, which had risen abruptly, had almost no interaction with its neighboring nations. Whether in technological standards or education levels, they had nothing to discuss with their neighbors, much less business.

Yet Wakanda's civilization was extraordinarily advanced. "Extraordinarily" was not an exaggeration in the slightest. For example, Wakanda had conquered cancer many years ago, and Wakandans had the longest average lifespan in the world. From birth, they wore monitoring bracelets that tracked their health. Any illness would be treated free of charge.

At the same time, their intelligence agency was absurdly powerful. Not only could it contend with the CIA, but it had even devised a plan to defend against Galactus.

There was even less need to mention their hard technological strength. They were the only nation on Earth with an organized fleet of spacecraft. Although their fleet could not compare to the Kree's ships and still used the most basic chemical fuel, it was nonetheless a powerful military force within the Solar System.
