Steel Bone had obtained the spaceship blueprints, but they were incredibly complex. Basically, only Batman could understand them. That was the main reason Superman had brought him aboard. Neither he nor Wonder Woman could compare to Batman when it came to reading technical blueprints and spatial awareness, so they could only rely on him.
They had also brought the Green Lantern from their universe, because they had confirmed that Green Lantern energy could interfere with the Collection Engine. When Brainiac tried to collect Miami using the same method, the four of them boarded the ship the same way.
But this time, it was nowhere near as easy as before. Brainiac had clearly realized they had some way of infiltrating the ship. Every node was heavily guarded, with more than twice as many sentries as before.
Batman glanced outside the door of the Collection Laboratory. Robots filled his entire field of vision.
"We really pissed him off," Batman said, shaking his head. "And one more question: where did you learn that Brainiac had this kind of technology?"
"That has nothing to do with you," Superman said.
Batman did not press further. He studied the formation of robots outside, then said, "If such a thing exists, it must be in an extremely central area. Charging in all the way is unlikely to work. We should find a way to draw them away."
"I'll go," Green Lantern said. "I'm very good at defending against energy attacks. I can lure away most of them, but you'll have to handle the rest yourselves."
Superman and Batman both nodded. Wonder Woman looked as though she wanted to say something, but Superman glared at her, and she fell silent.
Green Lantern flew out. The alarms beyond the door blared deafeningly, and even the entire deck began to
