As mentioned in the meeting, establishing a Multiverse-wide magic academy was not like building an aerial transportation system on Earth or constructing a Mercury Base to harness Solar Energy—projects that would bring humanity nothing but benefits.

On a grand scale, an aerial transportation system could accelerate globalization. On a smaller scale, it could reduce commuting costs for ordinary people and give them a better transportation environment. Even the unemployment issues it caused at the beginning could be offset by an equal number of jobs once the system developed. So far, the results had been quite good.

The Mercury Base was even more so. Being able to harness Solar Energy meant humanity possessed nearly limitless power. It was also very far from Earth, so any accident there would not endanger Earth, and it could serve as an outpost when necessary.

The same went for formally establishing diplomatic relations with Asgard, building humanity's own starships, advancing the development of the Andromeda galaxy, and so on. For ordinary people, these things had virtually nothing but benefits.

But the problem with a magic school was that it had to be built inside the magical defense network—in other words, it had to be built on Earth. Yet people from other universes would be coming and going there, and there might be parents as well as students.

Students and parents from most universes would not do anything particularly offensive, since they would be unfamiliar with the place too. But as long as they came from different Multiverses, this universe would definitely have to assign people to keep an eye on them.

Even the Spider-Men from other universes who had arrived long ago were under Nick's control, and they were merely visitors to this greater world. A
