The preview screening was being held in New York. It was already spring, but New York had yet to fully shake off the bleak atmosphere of deep winter. There was still a chill in the mornings and evenings. The media workers and film critics in formal attire shivered from the cold while dutifully posing for photos at the entrance. A stretched luxury car stopped outside the Ziegfeld Theatre. The moment Stark stepped out in a black suit and sunglasses, the shutters seemed to rain down a hail of bullets on Broadway.
Stark waved to either side, climbed the red-carpeted steps, and entered the building. He shook hands with Director Chris, who was waiting at the entrance, and said, "A wonderful half year. Have you experienced the marvels of magic, buddy?"
"Of course." Director Chris smiled from the heart. "It was even more magical than I imagined. I've never made such an outstanding film in such a short time. Go on, I saved you a seat."
