In a rented room in Queens, Danny scrolled through his phone while eating a sandwich. Whenever he saw something funny, he slapped his thigh and burst out laughing, double-tapping the screen to like and save it.
"You know, this post actually makes a lot of sense," Danny said. "...Why hasn't this blogger finished moving it over? No, I need to check the original site. Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about."
After a few taps, Danny opened the forum page. As he read, he kept nodding. Stretching his neck to swallow the sandwich in his mouth, he said, "That's what I thought. The real mastermind has to be connected to Hell. The earlier shots even hinted at it through the patterns on the stained-glass windows. Cain might have been controlled by some even more powerful evil force..."
As he continued scrolling, Danny's hand suddenly froze. He held the phone closer and stared at the name on the screen. "Mephisto?! How is that possible?! Mephisto is the mastermind?!"
"Wait." Danny suddenly stood up. "Most people think Satan is the Demon King of Hell. I read several posts before that all made the same guess, so why would this author point to Mephisto?"
Somewhere deep inside, Danny heard a response from the Spirit of Vengeance within him. He nodded. "That's right. This guy knows his stuff. He isn't one of those people who started studying magic just because the movie became popular. He must be an insider. At the very least, he knows about those Demon Gods, or he wouldn't have brought up Mephisto's name for no reason."
Danny carefully reread the article, his frown deepening the further he went. "This guy knows quite a lot about the magical world. Many of the terms he uses are different from what enthusiasts
