Peter looked at Schiller, who was leaning against the side of the refrigerator and smiling at his phone, and shuddered. He bent down and whispered into Pikachu's ear, "What's wrong with Doctor? Why is he smiling so evilly?"
"When is he not evil?" Pikachu flicked his ears. "He's definitely setting someone up again. Who knows who's unlucky this time..."
Suddenly, the two looked at each other. After swearing, Pikachu said, "Damn it! I haven't offended him lately!"
"But you woke him up this morning, and you've been wanting to drive that Flying Car. Maybe he thinks that if he finds you something to do, you'll quiet down."
"No way." Pikachu wailed. "I only thought about it. I didn't actually do it... I think you're in danger too. Schiller once said he wanted to kill everyone in this world who could tolerate white people food. That definitely includes you."
Peter swallowed. The two huddled together and whispered for quite a while, growing more and more uneasy the longer they talked. Peter could only cautiously edge closer and glance at Schiller's phone screen, but he saw nothing. He could only probe indirectly. "Doctor, who are you chatting with?"
"A group chat," Schiller said without turning around. "I'm helping a friend solve a problem."
He would have been better off saying nothing. Now Peter felt even less secure and asked anxiously, "This friend isn't me, right?"
"You? You're married. What trouble could you possibly have?"
"Oh, right. So this friend is single?"
"Yes. Why?"
Peter had just breathed a sigh of relief when something fell to the floor behind him. He turned around and saw Pikachu, who had made the noise, gesturing wildly at him with his two tiny paws.
"Um, this friend... is he human?" Peter asked, clutching the refrigerator door.
"What?"
