Schiller looked out the window and noticed the shrubs behind the tulip bed rustling, as though something were moving inside. He turned into Gray Mist and drifted outside. The moment he landed and was about to take a closer look, a loud "Achoo!" rang out, and a round blue figure crashed straight into his arms.
The blue cannonball slammed into Schiller's chest and knocked him flat. When he came to his senses, he found himself staring into two round black eyes and a mouthful of neat, gleaming white fangs.
The little cannonball had pale blue skin along its back and belly, and was about the size of a medium dog. A shark fin stood upright on its back, a fish tail trailed behind it, and its head looked much like a shark's. Yet beneath its body were four legs.

He grabbed Jeff's paws for a look. Sure enough, they matched the footprints on the kitchen floor. It seemed he was the culprit who had made such a mess of the kitchen.
Schiller had just been about to scold him when he reconsidered. Sharkdog Jeff might have been a land shark, but his head was still a shark's head. A shark's nose was its most sensitive part; no shark could be stupid enough to ram its nose directly into a window, because that would hurt terribly. Besides, a puppy this small did not look capable of smashing such a large window.
"Tell me, was it your owner who broke the glass?" Schiller patted Jeff's head. "Bark once if it was, twice if it wasn't."
Jeff's eyes darted around. "Woof! Woof!"
