Natasha's eyes widened, and she sprinted out of the room. Schiller followed behind her. When Wonder Woman tried to run out as well, the silvery-white barrier stopped her. She angrily slammed her fist into it, but only sent ripples spreading across its surface.
After realizing she could not break through the barrier, she could only pace anxiously around the room. For the first time, she even found herself hoping someone would come rescue her, but then she thought everyone should be saving Batman instead. So, despite desperately wanting to get out, she made no further noise, afraid of drawing anyone's attention to herself.
Medical Center. Seeing Bruce Wayne being slowly wheeled into the ward by the doctors, Luthor jolted upright in bed.
"I'm afraid you'll have to accept my apology, Mr. Luthor." Schiller stood between their beds, glanced left and then right, and said, "This may be the first and only chance in your life to accept an apology from an FBI agent."
